Our journey begins in seventh period writing class with two Delia’s skirts. (rip Delia’s, iykyk.) A bond built on matching purple patterns and a mutual love of storytelling has borne a friendship of 15 years and counting - and now, a home for our storytelling dreams.

As two queer, leftist women raised in an area that often rejected such identities, our history guides our work. We’ve navigated the art of “fitting in,” felt the toll of unlearning harmful lies (especially when they’re taught as fact), and wrestled with the consequences of standing up for what is right. Because of this, the impact of true love and community is integral to every story we tell.

Flora & Fauna Studios was created to bring intentional, meaningful, and decidedly human stories to your screens.

We want to build and nurture community through stories that inspire and uplift, question and unpack. Stories that demystify, linger, and most importantly, connect.

In the years since seventh period writing, we’ve developed our individual passions and skills, earned degrees in software engineering and theatre, moved to New York City, read many a romantasy novel, debated which MC’s we’d FMK, and daydreamed about creating worlds together. It is with immense gratitude that we bring those dreams to life, and with great honor and responsibility that we share them with you.

We hope our characters make you fall in love - even those you might love to hate. We hope our worlds provide not only an escape, but a catharsis: a reckoning with this world both as it stands and as we dream it might be. Above all, we hope our stories deliver to you, firmly and irrevocably, our most deeply held belief:

we will make it through together.
